Becky Macchione remains the career leader in goals scored at Alvernia with 93, and ranks 14th All-Time in Division III. She and fellow Class of 2017 Hall of Fame inductee Megan Novogratz graduated as the highest scoring classmates in the history of Division III.
Macchione was named PAC Rookie of the Year in 2003 and Player of the Year in 2004. She was a 4-time All-PAC honoree earning Second Team in ’03 and First Team in ’04, ’05, and ’06. She was named All-Region First Team three times and earned six All-American honors—three each from the NFHCA and womensfieldhockey.com.
Macchione is currently third in career assists at Alvernia with 30 and second in points with 216.
After graduation, Becky accepted a position in the Wilson School District teaching 4th, 5th, and 6th grade math. Following three years there she took a job as a Reading teacher at Conrad Weiser West Elementary School. She and Mike Reed were married in 2013. They have two energetic boys, Micah and Jameson.
