Reading, Pa. (Nov. 10, 2025) - Alvernia Men's Wrestling sophomore Owen Reber and Women's Ice Hockey sophomore Stephanie Skorupa were named Alvernia Athletes of the Week for their performances during the week of November 4 - November 10, 2025. This week's Alvernia Athletes of the Week are presented by Visions Federal Credit Union.

Owen Reber took first place at heavyweight on Saturday at the Ursinus Racich Rumble. Reber started his day with a 7-1 decision over St. John Fisher's Micah Gillespie, and followed that with a 9-0 win over Messiah's Kaleb Britting in the quarterfinals. Reber then defeated Ursinus' Sam Rock via a 6-0 decision and took first place with a 3-1 win over NYU's Nathan Faxon in the finals. Reber gave up just two points in total - both of which came off escapes.

Stephanie Skorupa allowed just one goal across two games in a weekend sweep of Stevenson this weekend. In a 3-1 win on Friday, Skorupa made 16 saves and allowed one goal. She then shutout the Mustangs with a 22 save performance in a 4-0 win on Saturday. 

Men's Wrestling is back in action on Wednesday night with a home dual against Delaware Valley. Women's Ice Hockey is back in action this Friday for their home-opener against King's.
