Golden Wolves Take Down Aggies, 44-7

Reading, Pa. (November 12, 2025) - Alvernia University recorded a 44-7 dual victory over Delaware Valley University Wednesday evening in a MAC men's wrestling dual on Alvernia's Jack McCloskey Court.

The Golden Wolves received 30 points via Delaware Valley forfeits at 125, 141, 149, 174 and 184 pounds. The Golden Wolves then took three of the five bouts, two by tech fall and one by major decision en route to the 44-7 victory.

How it Happened

Steven Harris wrestled the first match of the day at 133 pounds and faced off against Ethan Liptzin from Delaware Valley. Liptzin recorded a 4-0 decision over Harris to make it 6-3 in the team score after a 125 pound forfeit from Del Val.
Chance Babb then took on Carlos Panchana at 157 pounds and Babb took care of business with a 21-3 tech fall over Panchana to increase the Alvernia lead to 23-3 after forfeits at 141 and 149.
Jake Ebaugh faced off against Luke Moore from Delaware Valley and fell to Moore by major decision, 15-3, to make it 23-7.
The Golden Wolves then received forfeits at 174 and 184 pounds before Jason Chiodi took on Neil Miller from Del Val in the 197 pound bout. Chiodi tallied an 11-2 major decision over Miller and increased the Alvernia lead to 39-7.
Owen Reber rounded out the dual matches with a 19-3 tech fall over Delaware Valley's Nate Obrutz to secure the 44-7 victory over the Aggies in Alvernia's first dual of the season.
Tristan Cooper wrestled against Maximus Gordon from Delaware Valley in a 285 pound exhibition and Cooper tallied a pin in 1:20 to round out the matches.
