Corrigan Transitions Into Full-Time Athletic Administration Role

By Nick Anderson (Director of Athletic Communications)

Reading, Pa. (November 4, 2026) - Alvernia University Director of Athletics Cory Beddick announced Wednesday the promotion of Megan Corrigan into a full-time administration role within Alvernia Athletics as the Associate Athletic Director, Senior Women’s Administrator and Compliance Officer.

Corrigan has served as the head women’s lacrosse coach since the summer of 2018 and most recently has served as the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator since 2022.

Corrigan will transition into a full time administration role within the athletic department and will continue to serve as the Associate Athletic Director and Senior Women’s Administrator and will now handle all NCAA compliance duties for Alvernia’s student-athletes.

“Megan's leadership and administrative abilities have been invaluable to our department through her roles as Associate Athletic Director and Senior Woman Administrator.” said Beddick “We believe this promotion will allow her to build upon those contributions and have an even greater impact across our department, reaching all of our student-athletes”

Corrigan steps down as the head women’s lacrosse coach after eight seasons at the helm and one season as an assistant under longtime head coach Kelly McCloskey, who Corrigan played for as a student-athlete.

“Coaching at my alma mater for the past nine years has been an incredibly rewarding experience.” said Corrigan “I am grateful for the opportunity to have led the program and, most importantly, for the relationships built with the student-athletes along the way. Watching them grow, succeed, and continue their journeys beyond Alvernia has been the most meaningful part of coaching.”

“Since the fall of 2018, Megan has been an integral part of Alvernia's women's lacrosse program and the growth of our athletic department.” said Beddick “Since taking over as head coach in 2018, she has led and mentored countless student-athletes while helping build a strong foundation for the program's continued success.”

Corrigan has coached ten All-MAC Commonwealth honorees in her tenure and one “Of the Year” recipient which came last spring when Grace Weissenberger was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year.

“We are incredibly grateful for the time, energy, and commitment she has dedicated to our women's lacrosse student-athletes.” added Beddick.

I want to thank Cory and Tom Minnick for the opportunity to transition into a full-time administrative role. added Corrigan I have enjoyed learning the NCAA compliance side of collegiate athletics and am excited to take on this new role as Compliance Officer. While I will miss coaching, I look forward to continuing to support Alvernia Athletics and the student-athletes from a different sideline!
