Jason Rezac won his weight class and paced Alvernia to a fourth place finish on Friday and Saturday at Messiah’s Petrofes Invitational. Competing in the 149 lb bracket, Rezac started the tournament with a 9-6 decision over Robert Zelinksi of King’s in round one. He followed that with a 2:47 pin over Jon Cermano of Gettysburg in round two, and then took another 9-6 decision in the quarterfinals over Ike Brynaer of Messiah. Rezac’s second pin of the tournament came with a 3:26 fall over Camerin DeVille of Messiah to move on to the finals. He then secured the win in his bracket with a 7-0 decision over Mount Union’s Justin Rayner.
