Taliyah Malone averaged 18.5 points and 6.5 rebounds in a 1-1 week for the Golden Wolves. Malone shot 58% from the floor and 53% from beyond the arc with nine made 3-pointers. In a 73-69 setback to Immaculata on Tuesday, Malone scored 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting to lead Alvernia’s offense. She made four 3-pointers and had four rebounds with three steals. In an 85-51 win over Goucher on Saturday, Malone scored a team-high 19 points and led Alvernia with nine rebounds. She once again shot 7-for-12 from the floor with five 3-pointers. Malone also led Alvernia in minutes played this week as Alvernia’s 6-2 start is its best start through eight games in 20 years.
