Shawn Williams was Alvernia’s top-finisher at the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic on Sunday. Williams finished in ninth with a two-day total of 142 at Waynesboro Country Club. Williams shot a 2-under 70 in his first round and followed that with an even par round of 72 on Sunday. In his Saturday round, Williams tallied six birdies on his round and posted 1-under 35s on each nine. In his Sunday round, Williams added another five birdies to his tournament tally. He also played a 11 hole stretch of holes 4-14 at 4-under. Williams’ round of 72 on Saturday was Alvernia’s low-round of the day and helped the Golden Wolves tie the program record for a team-single round score of 294.
