Eli Klinger finished a 1-1 week for Alvernia with a goal and an assist for a three-point week. Klinger assisted on Alvernia’s game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Penn State Berks on Tuesday. Klinger connected with Aidan Courtney on a short-cross pass to give Alvernia the 1-0 lead in the 35th minute. Klinger also finished the game with two shots on goal of his own. In a setback to #11 Dickinson on Saturday, Klinger scored Alvernia’s only goal of the game, ending Dickinson’s bid for a fifth straight shutout. Alvernia was awarded a free kick in the 78th minute, and Klinger buried a beautiful shot into the upper right corner of the goal to put Alvernia on the board.
