Williams shot a 1-over 71 on day one of the Arcadia Golden Oaks Shootout on Sunday. Williams' round of 71 had him in third place through day one and led Alvernia to a team score of 303. Williams’ fired a 3-over 39 on the front nine with a birdie on the par four 7th hole. Williams then shot an impressive 4-under 32 on the back nine. He had two birdies during the opening stretch and posted his first eagle of the season on the par five 11th hole.
