Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 10, 2009) - Sophomore sisters Abby Eby (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) and Katy Eby (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) combined to lead Alvernia University (7-6, 1-2) to a 1-0 win at Arcadia University (3-8, 0-3) in Commonwealth Conference Field Hockey action Saturday.

Katy Eby scored the only goal of the game in the 25th minute and Abby Eby recorded four saves to pick up her third shutout of the season.

Alvernia dominated the course of play finishing with a 17-6 advantage in shots and an 8-6 lead in penalty corners.

Arcadia goalie Brittany Rausmussen made nine saves in net for the Scarlet Knights.

Alvernia will host Juniata College on Monday.
