Sam Landis (Watsontown, Pa./Warrior Run) handed out three assists, the most in six years, for the Crusaders in a 6-0 win over Shenandoah University (7-6, 1-3) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference field hockey action at Schlager Memorial Field.

Abby Eby (New Holland, Pa./Garden Spot) needed three saves to record her sixth shutout of the season.

Ashley Tatangelo (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) for the first goal of the game before it was three minutes old. She found
Christy Yousaitis (West Lawn, Pa./Wilson) on a corner play to put the Crusaders up 3-0. The third and final assist set up freshman
Mia Puopolo (Forest Hills, Md./John Carroll) for her first goal of the season and put the Crusaders up 5-0 with just over 10 minutes to play.
Freshman Brittany Barcus (Atglen, Pa./Octorara) also tallied her first of the season, assisted by Tatangelo.
Janelle Lynch (Macungie, Pa./Brandywine Heights) scored her 10th of the season and
Jaclyn Guignet (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) finished the scoring with her second of the season.
Alvernia continues the conference schedule with an important game against Widener University on Wednesday afternoon at home.
