Reading, Pa. (Oct. 22, 2014) - Widener University (6-21, 3-3) earned a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (6-10, 1-5) Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.
Widener won the match by scores of 25-20, 25-16, 25-15 in improve its hold on the fifth and final conference playoff spot.
Alvernia got a team-high seven kills from freshman
Kristen Sipling, 16 digs from senior
Teresa Zavala, and 15 assists from sophomore
Jamie Morris.
Widener got a match-high 10 kills from Kaitlin Schnalzer.
Alvernia continues the season at the Delaware Valley Tri-match this Saturday and wraps up the home schedule hosting Stevenson next Tuesday.
