Owings Mill, Md. (Oct. 24, 2014) - Stevenson University (7-5-4, 5-0-1) scored three goals late in the second half to turn a 1-0 halftime lead into a 4-0 win over Alvernia University (5-13, 1-4) Friday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action at Stevenson.
The Mustangs took a 1-0 lead in the ninth minute of play and held that advantage until the 69th minute when they were able to double the lead on a volley by Kellen Wittman. They added a third goal in the 74th minute and closed the scoring with their fourth goal with a minute to play.

Margaret Burnett made eight saves in net for the Crusaders.
Alvernia returns home to host Messiah College on Wednesday.
