Reading, Pa. (Feb. 23, 2015) - Fourth-seeded Alvernia University (15-9, 10-6) will host #5 Arcadia University (14-11, 10-6) in the first round of the Commonwealth Conference Men's Basketball Championships Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Jack McCloskey Court.

The Crusaders and the Knights split the season series this year with each team winning on its home floor.  Both teams finished in a 4-way tie for second place.  Lycoming earned the top seed with a 13-3 record in league play.  Stevenson won the 4-way tie for second and will host a semifinal on Wednesday.  Hood earned the #3 seed and will travel to Stevenson.  Alvernia and Arcadia came out of the tie-breaker in fourth and fifth respectively.

Alvernia is a two-time defending Commonwealth Champion and winner of three of the last four titles.
