Madison, NJ (Apr. 18, 2015) - Fairleigh Dickinson (12-3) defeated Alvernia University (6-7) by a 14-5 final Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's lacrosse action at FDU.
The Devils score nine times in the first half en route to the win.
The Crusaders posted two goals in the first half and three in the second.
Jacquelyn Strange netted the first and last goals of the game for Alvernia, extending her career total to 102 goals.
Brooke Campione picked up the Crusaders second goal of the first half, while
Candace Knight and
Abby McCarthy each added a goal in the second half.
Colleen Reilly recorded eight saves in goal for Alvernia.
The Crusaders return to action on Tuesday, traveling to Messiah College for Commonwealth Conference play.
