Annville, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2015) - Lebanon Valley College (5-4, 1-1) defeated Alvernia University (4-5, 1-1) by a 3-0 score Tuesday evening in MAC Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at LVC.
The Crusaders struggled to hit effectively in the first two sets finishing both with five kills and six errors each. LVC took the opening set 25-17 then took control of the match with a 25-11 win in the second set.
The Alvernia offense put together a strong third set racking up 14 kills with just three errors, but the host Dutchmen were able to prevail 25-20.

Lauryn Snyder had nine assists, and Smith led the defensive effort with seven digs.
Alvernia returns to action Thursday hosting Goucher College at 7:00 p.m.
