Reading, Pa. (Nov. 12, 2016) - Krista Lamaina scored twice to lead second-seeded Kean University (18-3) to a 3-1 win over #1 FDU-Florham (15-8) Saturday afternoon in semifinal action of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Field Hockey Championships Saturday afternoon at Alvernia.

FDU opened the scoring in the seventh minute, but Kean responded with the equalizer two minutes later from Liz Dipiazza.  Lamaina scored her first of the game to give the Cougars the lead in the 18th minute then added the insurance goal seven minutes into the second half.

FDU goalie Samantha Rubin made three saves for the Devils and Erin Smith stopped five for the Cougars.

Kean held a 12-7 advantage in penalty corners and an 11-8 lead in shots.
