Annville, Pa. (Nov. 3, 2016) – Second-seeded Lebanon Valley netted a goal per half in a 2-0 win over #3 Alvernia University Thursday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference Men's Soccer semifinal action at LVC.
The Dutchmen opened the scoring in the eighth minute when Austin Freeman gathered the ball off a saved header shot by Tyler Skye and put away the second chance.
The hosts maintained the 1-0 lead into the halftime break and added the final goal with just 16 second left in regulation as Freeman netted his second of the day on an open net.
Lebanon Valley advances to the Commonwealth Final and will face the winner of No. 5 Arcadia vs No. 1 Messiah, who square off tonight at 7 p.m.
Zach Rider finished with eight saves in net for the Crusaders.
