BOX SCORE Miami, Fla. (Dec. 20, 2016) - Junior Mike Miller, Jr. scored a game-high 17 points leading Alvernia University (6-4) to a 67-44 win over Goucher College Tuesday afternoon in non-conference men's basketball action at the HoopsMIA D3 Holiday Shootout hosted by Eastern University.

The win is number 227 for head coach Mike Miller tying him with Alvernia Hall of Famer Jack McCloskey who led the Crusaders to a 227-111 mark over 12 seasons from 1991 - 2004.  Ten games into his 13th season as the Alvernia head coach, Miller, Sr. has an identical 227-111 record.

Alvernia took a 29-22 lead after the first 20 minutes of the win over Goucher on Tuesday led by Miller, Jr. who hit 3-of-5 3s in the first half for nine points.
