Mustangs Top Crusaders, 80-62

Owings Mill, Md. (Feb. 20, 2016) - Stevenson University (14-9, 11-5) used four double-digit scorers to capture an 80-62 victory over Alvernia University (8-17, 3-13) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action at Stevenson.
 
Stevenson pushed its early lead to 20-8 through the first eight minutes of play.  Jenna Wolff put away a pair for 3s to end the first quarter, cutting the Mustangs margin 21-14.

The Crusaders continued to respond to each Stevenson basket over the next seven minutes, keeping within six at 30-24. The Mustangs managed to notch three layups before haftime, holding a 36-24 lead at the break. 

 
The two squads were evenly matched through the second half, with the Mustangs edging the Crusaders by just three points in each quarter. 

 
Alvernia senior Logan Focht led the Crusaders, capping off her final game with a career-high 21 points. Wolff tacked on 12 points, while Chelsea Ebersole added 11. 
 
Today's contest marks the conclusion of Alvernia's season. The Mustangs will be the 2nd or 3rd seed heading into the conference playoffs.
