Reading, Pa (April 30, 2016) - Lycoming College (4-11, 3-5) scored multiple goals in all four quarters en route to a 9-6 victory over Alvernia University (3-14,0-8) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.
The Warriors scored two goals in the first quarter and three in the second quarter to bring the score 5-3 at the half. Lycoming was lead by Peter Pluta who had four goals on the day, three coming in the first half.
The Crusaders made a run in the third quarter to bring the score to 7-5.
Benjamin Manning scored the final goal of the third and
Brian Schay scored the first in the four to pull Alvernia within two. Lycoming responded with consecutive goals for a 9-5 lead with just over a minute to play.
The Crusaders were lead by jManning who had two goals on the day.
Sean Reilly for the Warriors had two goals and four assists on the day while both
Andrew Ritchie and
Patrick Dunn for the Crusaders had a goal and an assist.
