Haverford, Pa. (Sept. 11, 2016) - Eastern University (3-0-1) scored the only goal of the game in the 54th minute of a 1-0 win over Alvernia University (0-5) Sunday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action at Haverford College.

The teams played a scoreless first half with Eastern holding a slight 5-3 advantage in shots.

Eight minutes into the second half Eastern moved a possession along its offensive endline, and Billy Walenda set up Jake Sankey for the eventual game-winner.

After a pair of neutral site games over the weekend, Alvernia returns home to face Stockton College on Wednesday.
