Reading, Pa. (April 29, 2017) - Albright College (8-6, 6-2) scored nine first half goals to lift them to a 15-10 win over Alvernia University (3-13, 0-8) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.
Albright was first on the board with a goal coming off the faceoff win.
Patrick Dunn for the Crusaders tie the game up at 1-1 midway through the first quarter. The Lions notched two quick goals to extend their lead to 3-1. Both teams traded a pair of goals to end the first quarter with a score of 4-2.
Albright scored three straight goals under one minute in the second quarter to bring the score to 7-2. Both teams scored a pair of goals through the remainder of the second quarter to bring the halftime score to 9-4.
The Lions notched three straight goals in the third quarter to extend their lead to 12-4. Alvernia match the Lions three goals during the third to make it a 12-7 game. The Crusaders
Andrew Ritchie scored his only two goals in the third quarter.
Albright tallied three more goals in the fourth quarter to ensure the victory over the Crusaders.
Alvernia's offense was lead by Jarret Abernathy who had three goals, Dunn with two goals and an assist.

Matt Frank lead the Crusader defense a total of 10 groundballs and five caused turnovers. Goalie
Kyle Augustine had 11 saves on the afternoon.
