Reading, Pa. (April 29, 2017) - Albright College (10-6,6-2) scored 11 goals in the first half en route to a 14-3 win over Alvernia University (7-8,3-5) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth Women's Lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The Lions were first to strike scoring 13 seconds into the first half off a draw control win. Albright kept the scoring going through the first half scoring another 10 goals to bring the score to 11-0. Senior
Abby McCarthy scored the Crusaders first goal under a minute to go in the first half to make the halftime score 11-1.

Albright scored two straight goals to start the second half to extend their lead to 13-1. Alvernia traded goals with the Lions for the remainder of the second half to have the final score set at 14-3.

The Crusaders were lead by McCarthy with two goals,
Rachel Judge who scored one, and
Amanda Moyer who had two ground balls and four caused turnovers. Goalie
Kallie Taylor and
Samantha Rothman combined for six saves on the afternoon.
