Glenside, Pa. (Dec. 5, 2018) - Arcadia University (6-2, 2-0) put together a 10-3 run later in the second half on its way to a 72-63 win over Alvernia University (3-5, 0-3) Wednesday evening in MAC Men's Basketball action at Alumni Gymnasium.

Nick Youngkin hit a pair of free throws with 5:19 left to pull the Golden Wolves to within two points, 51-49, but Arcadia scored 10 of the next 13 points to build a 61-52 lead with 3:04 to go. Â The Knights went 4-for-4 from the floor on the run including a pair of 3-pointers.
Alvernia had a 14-6 lead early and hit the break with a 29-28 lead.
Arcadia shot 45 percent from the floor and scored 44 points in the second half.
Neither team led by more than three points in the second half until Arcadia took advantage of a nearly four minute scoreless streak for Alvernia and pushed out to a 47-40 lead.
The Golden Wolves broke the streak with a pair of free throws from
Malik Green and ran off a 9-4 lead to pull within two with just over five minutes to play.
Youngkin led Alvernia with 21 points and nine rebounds. Â Green and
Keon Taylor had 13 points apiece. Arcadia got a game-high 24 points from Da'Kquan Davis.
Alvernia returns home to host Messiah College on Saturday.
