Reading, Pa. (Feb. 13, 2018) - Stevenson University (15-10, 9-7) defeated Alvernia University (4-20, 0-15) 52-40 Tuesday evening in MAC Commonwealth Women's Basketball action at Jack McCloskey Court.

Alvernia cut a 24-14 halftime deficit down to four points, 28-24, midway through the third quarter, but Stevenson scored eight of the next 10 points to push the lead back to double figures, 36-26.

Alvernia cut the gap to nine points on two occasions in the fourth quarter, but could get no closer.

Alvernia sophomore Torie Zerbe grabbed a career-high 17 rebounds for the Golden Wolves and led the way with 10 points.  Stevenson had a pair of players reach double figures led by a game-high 17 from Jonyea Curry.

Alvernia raps up the season on Saturday at Widener.
