Reading, Pa. (Feb. 28, 2018) - Centenary University (1-1) scored six times in the first quarter on its way to a 14-2 win over Alvernia University (0-2) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The Cyclones scored four times in the opening seven minutes then added a pair of man-up goals in the last three minutes of the first quarter.

Alvernia scored both of its goals in the second quarter.  Jarret Abernethy scored an unassisted goal and Zach Brommer scored on an assist from Jake Hiester.

Jacob O'Donnell played the full game for Alvernia in net and made 14 saves.

Kyle Mott and Chris Snow had four goals apiece to lead Centenary.

Alvernia returns to action on Saturday at Wilkes University.
