Owings Mill, Md. (Mar. 27, 2018) - Stevenson University (2-5, 1-0) opened the MAC Commonwealth schedule with a 32-7 win over Alvernia University (0-7, 0-1) Tuesday evening at Mustang Stadium.

The Mustangs jumped out early and held an 11-0 lead after the first quarter.  Alvernia junior Jarret Abernethy scored the first goal of the game for the Golden Wolves with 5:26 left in the second quarter assisted by Jordan Ludwig.

The same combination connected early in the third quarter, and Tyler McDonnell scored in the final seconds of the third for Alvernia.

Abernethy wrapped up the hat trick with his third goal of the game early in the fourth quarter and McDonnell earned a hat trick as well with two more goals in the fourth.

Austin Lucas scored the final goal for Alvernia as the Wolves scored the final three in the game.

Alvernia is off for the Easter Break and will return to action next Wednesday hosting Lycoming College.
