Reading, Pa. (Apr. 30, 2018) - Alvernia University has earned the top seed in the MAC Commonwealth Baseball Championships hosted this Thursday through Saturday at PEOPLESBank Park in York.

Alvernia is making its ninth straight appearance in the MAC Commonwealth Championships since joining the conference for the 2010 season, and will be the top seed for the seventh time.  Alvernia is 13-13 in its previous eight appearances with two titles (2013 and 2015).

Alvernia will face #4 Widener University in the opener of the double-elimination championships on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.  #2 Arcadia University will face #3 Hood College at 7:00 p.m. Thursday.

Tickets are set for a day pass and will be available at the gate.  Prices are $6 for adults and $3 for students.  PEOPLESBank Park does not allow outside food or beverage.  Concessions stands will be open for all games.  Spectator parking will be available in the Queen Street lot beyond right field or along the street.
