Glenside, Pa. (Apr. 4, 2018) - Arcadia University (16-10, 9-2) defeated Alvernia University (11-15, 5-6) 3-0 Wednesday evening in MAC men's volleyball action at Arcadia.

Arcadia jumped out to a 10-4 lead in the opening set on its way to a 25-18 win then after trailing midway through the second set, the Knights put together two separate 6-0 runs to take the set 25-15.

An early run put Arcadia out in front in the third set, and Alvernia was able to battle back to within two points on three different occasions.  Arcadia finally pulled ahead scoring five of seven points at one stretch for an 18-13 lead and held on for the 25-18 win.

Alvernia got a team-high 10 kills from Collin Welteroth and six digs from Jon Demeter.

The Golden Wolves finish up the regular season hosting Widener this Saturday, and have locked up the #4 seed in the MAC Championships which begin with a semifinal at #1 Stevenson.
