#20 Delaware Valley Tops Alvernia, 41-10

Ulysse Scores On 90-Yard Pick Six

Doylestown, Pa. (Sept. 22, 3018) - National #20 Delaware Valley (3-1, 2-0) ran up 218 yards on the ground in a 41-10 win over Alvernia University (1-2, 0-2) Saturday afternoon in MAC football action at Delaware Valley.

The Aggies capped off a seven minute, 69-yard drive with a 4-yard run from Donte Simmons late in the first quarter, and scored on a 37-yard heave on the last play of the first half for a 27-10 lead at the break.

Alvernia used two big plays to score.  Daniel Scott ripped off a 66-yard kickoff return after the Simmons touchdown that led to a Ben Strausser 24-yard field goal, and Moses Ulysse returned an interception 90 yards for a score later in the second quarter.

Both scoring plays were firsts in the history of Alvernia football which kicked off for the first time on September 1st of this year.
