Center Valley, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2019) - DeSales University (3-1) earned points at the second and third doubles flights and the last four singles matches in a 6-3 win over Alvernia University (0-3) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at DeSales.
Michael Brophy and
Reid Hoff teammed for an 8-6 win at No. 1 doubles for Alvernia then both followed with wins in singles play.
Hoff won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-4 and Brophy had a comeback win at No. 1 singles. After dropping the opening set 6-2, he leveled the match with a 7-5 win in the second set and closed out the win 12-10 in the third.
Alvernia continues the season next Wednesday at Penn State-Berks.
