Reading, Pa. (Oct. 30, 2019) - Widener University (14-3, 4-3) scored a goal late in the third quarter in a 1-0 win over Alvernia University (10-9, 3-4) on Wednesday night at Alvernia. 

With just 30 seconds remaining in the third quarter, Widener's Madi Radnoff smashed a back-handed shot into goal. 

Alvernia would get three shots off in the fourth quarter, but two would be saved and one was off the mark. 

Emma Beamesderfer finished the night with saves for the Golden Wolves.

With the loss, Alvernia is eliminated from MAC Commonwealth postseason contention. The Golden Wolves await a potential ECAC bid and finish out the regular season on Saturday with a non-conference game against DeSales.
