Reading, Pa. (Nov. 1, 2019) - Albright College (11-7, 5-3) scored two second-half goals en route to a 3-1 win over Alvernia University (3-16, 0-8) on Friday evening in the regular season finale.
The Lions opened the scoring in the 42nd minute with a goal from Carleigh Molinaro.
Just 50 second later, Alvernia evened it up at 1-1 with a goal from
Katelyn Schoener.
The Lions came out of the half and broke the 1-1 tie with a goal in the 52nd minute from Lauren Haley.
Molinaro added her second of the night in the 75th minute to extend Albright's lead to 3-1.
The Golden Wolves had several open looks at goal in the second half, but were unable to convert.
Lily Sankey finished the night with five saves for Alvernia.
Alvernia's season ends with the loss, and Albright advances to the MAC Commonwealth Championship as the #4 seed.
