Shenandoah Ends Alvernia's Season In ECAC Semifinal, 4-1

Lebanon, Pa. (Nov. 16, 2019) - Shenandoah University scored three goals in ten minutes and never looked back en route to a 4-1 win over Alvernia University on Saturday in the ECAC semifinal at Lebanon Valley College. 

The Hornets started off their ten-minute scoring spree with a goal in the 19th minute from Natalie Fyock. Lauren Tyre made it 2-0 just over a minute later, and
Sarah Stillabower capped things off with a goal in the 29th minute to make it 3-0.

Alvernia got on the board with a goal from Madison Potthoff in the 48th minute. Potthoff received a corner and lofted the ball over the defender and into net.

The Hornets added one more to their lead early in the 56th minute with a goal from Taylor Hayes.

Alvernia would get one more shot off in the final minute, but it was off the mark.

Emma Beamesderfer finished off her collegiate career with five saves. 

Alvernia finishes the season at 11-10

Shenandoah will face host Lebanon Valley on Sunday in the ECAC final.
