Messiah Runs Past Alvernia, 23-12

Ritchie And St. Croix Score Three Each

Reading, Pa. (Mar. 30, 2019) - Messiah College (5-4, 2-0) defeated Alvernia University (3-7, 0-2) by a 23-12 score Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The Falcons led 6-0 after the first quarter and jumped out to a 13-4 lead at the halftime break.

Alvernia scored the first goal of the third quarter, but Messiah stormed back with six straight to push ahead 19-5 after three quarters.

Andrew Ritchie and Sam St. Croix scored a team-high three goals apiece for Alvernia.  Jacob O'Donnell made 19 saves for the Golden Wolves.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule Wednesday at Arcadia.
