Reading, Pa. (Sept. 7, 2019) - Franklin and Marshall (2-1) shutout Alvernia University (1-3) 3-0 on Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action at Alvernia.

The Diplomats got on the board early in the 26th minute with a goal from Christian Avila Neres hit a shot off the crossbar that went straight down and into the goal.

Franklin and Marshall added a second goal of the evening in the 56th minute with AJ Kopacz collecting a rebounded shot and firing into goal.

The Diplomats added their final goal of the game in the 89th minute with Seifu Zerabruk getting by Luca Grippi and getting a shot off.

The Golden Wolves were held to just one shot on goal, coming from Ammit Bhogal in the last minute of the game.

Grippi finished the night with 13 saves for the Golden Wolves.

Alvernia has a quick turnaround, and will head across town on Monday night for a 7:00 PM game at Penn State Berks.
