Reading, Pa. (Jan. 25, 2020) - Wilkes University (2-12, 1-7) scored a goal in each period to take a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (4-13, 0-9) on Saturday afternoon at Body Zone in Reading, Pa.
The Colonels wasted no time getting on the board, with Julie Patterson scoring for Wilkes just 29 seconds into the game.
Wilkes added its second of the afternoon on a goal from Kendall Castro with just ten seconds remaining in the second period.Â
The Colonels added their third and final goal of the night on a power-play goal from Shauna Tubbs with just over 12 minutes remaining in the game.
The Golden Wolves got off 21 shots on goal, including a team-high eight shots on goal from
Olivia Gilida, put were unable to convert.
