Annville, Pa. (March 15, 2021) - Alvernia University Men's and Women's Basketball will both take on Arcadia University in the MAC Basketball Crossover Challenge. The Crossover Challenge will be the conclusion of the 2021 basketball season.

Men's Basketball finished as the #3 seed in the MAC Commonwealth, and Arcadia University finished as the #3 seed on the MAC Freedom side. Arcadia will head to Alvernia for a 7:00 PM tip-off on Thursday.

Women's Basketball finished as the #4 seed in the MAC Commonwealth, and Arcadia Women's Basketball finished as the #4 seed in the MAC Freedom. Alvernia will head down to Arcadia on Thursday for a 7:00 PM game. 

Alvernia's men finished the regular season with a 5-2 overall record, and a 4-2 record in MAC Commonwealth play. Malik Green is leading the Golden Wolves offense with 24.3 points per game and 7.3 rebounds per game. Senior Keon Taylor is averaging 19.4 rebounds per game and 5.9 rebounds per game.

Arcadia's men, playing their first season in the MAC Freedom since the MAC restructured this year, finished the season at 6-4 overall and 4-4 in Freedom play. The Knights are being led by Da'Kquan Davis, who is averaging 22.3 points per game and 5.7 rebounds per game. The Golden Wolves and Knights had a common opponent in Wilkes University, with the Knights splitting a two game series and Alvenia defeating the Colonels in a single non-conference game, 95-81.

Alvernia's women finished the regular season with a 4-3 overall record, and 3-3 record in MAC Commonwealth play. Alvernia's offense is being led by first-years Kayla Williams and Jordan Karmonick. Williams is averaging 10.9 points per game and Karmonick is averaging 11.3 a game. Senior Julia Ewen is dominating the boards, averaging 15 rebounds a game.

Arcadia's women are also playing their first season in the MAC Freedom since the conference wide restructuring. The Knights finished the season 6-4 overall and 5-3 in conference play. Julia Makowski is leading Arcadia with 15.1 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. 

The conference champions will be determined by a single game between the No. 1 and No. 2 seeds (e.g.: MAC Commonwealth No. 1 vs. MAC Commonwealth No. 2; MAC Freedom No. 1 vs. MAC Freedom No. 2).

For the MAC Commonwealth Men, Albright will face Lebanon Valley, and for the MAC Commonwealth Women, Widener will face Messiah. On the Freedom side for the men, Lycoming will face Desales, and for the women, Delaware Valley will face DeSales. 

All games will be played on Thursday, March 18 or Friday, March 19. Below is the complete schedule.
