Reading, Pa. (March 20, 2021) - Alvernia University Men's Tennis (0-1) fell to Lebanon Valley College (1-0) in an 8-1 decision to start off its 2021 season on Saturday in non-conference men's tennis action in Reading.

Alvernia's lone point of the afternoon came in a back and forth match at #1 doubles. The duo of Michael Brophy and Kevin Angeles would come out on top in the 8-6 win over the Dutchmen. Alvernia would fall 8-0, 8-2 in its #2 and #3 doubles matches respectively to head into singles trailing 2-1.

Both Brophy and Angeles would push their opponents to three sets in singles play, but Lebanon Valley would come out on top in both of the decisive third sets. 

Lebanon Valley would go on to sweep singles plays en route to the 8-1 match win. 

Alvernia returns to the court on Saturday hosting Stevens in a non-conference match.
