Reading, Pa. (April 26, 2021) - Alvernia Men's Tennis (0-6, 0-3) fell to York College (1-6, 1-3) 5-4 on Monday night in MAC Commonwealth Men's Tennis action at Alvernia.

The Golden Wolves took a 2-1 lead coming out of doubles play with the duos of Michael Brophy and Kevin Angeles, and Thomas Figurelli and Christopher Lazdins each picking up wins.

York would take control in singles play, with the Spartans taking four of the six singles matches. Alvernia's only wins would come at #1 singles with Brophy taking his match 1-6, 6-3, 6-2 and at #3 singles with Figurelli taking his match 0-6, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3).

#6 singles would be the deciding match with Dylan Boltz forcing the match into a decisive third set. But, York would come away with the 7-6 (7-5) set win.

Alvernia returns to action on Thursday with a home match against Eastern.
