Reading, Pa. (April 30, 2021) - Alvernia University (1-3, 1-6) picked up a 5-4 win over Eastern University (1-3, 1-4) in MAC Commonwealth Men's Tennis action on a very windy Friday afternoon at Alvernia.

Alvernia came out of doubles with a 2-1 lead after the duos of Michael Brophy and Kevin Angeles, and Thomas Figurelli and Christopher Lazdins both picked up 8-4 wins at #1 and #2 doubles, respectively. 

Brophy the picked up another point for Alvernia after taking #1 singles 6-2, 7-5.

The Eagles took three points at #2, #3, and #5 singles, but both Derrick Boltz and Dylan Boltz picked up wins at #4 and #6 singles. Derrick Boltz took #4 singles 6-2, 7-5 and Dylan Boltz took #6 singles 6-0, 6-2.

Alvernia closes out its regular season tomorrow at Stevenson. The Golden Wolves then begin the MAC Commonwealth playoffs on Monday.
