Annville, Pa. (May 6, 2021) - Alvernia's postseason run came to an end on Thursday with a 5-2 loss to #2 Lebanon Valley in the MAC Commonwealth Women's Tennis Semifinals at Lebanon Valley. 

Alvernia started the match with a 1-0 lead after Leah Bouchard/Laura Covely took an 8-4 win at #1 singles. But, the Dutchmen would leave the doubles round with a 2-1 lead after taking #2 and #3 doubles 8-2 and 8-4, respectively. 

Lebanon Valley extended its lead to 3-1 following a 6-3, 6-1 win at #6 singles. The Golden Wolves cut the lead down to one with Rachel Rineer picking up a point at #3 singles with a 6-4, 6-4 match win. 

The Dutchmen would then go up 4-2 with a three-set win at #2 singles, and went on to secure the 5-2 win at #5 singles.

Alvernia's season comes to a close while the Dutchmen advance to the MAC Commonwealth Championship to face York College on Saturday.
