Brockport, NY (Oct. 20, 2022) - Alvernia University graduate student
Brooke Spezialetti was named to the 2022 NFHCA Senior Team, as announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association on Monday.
All six NCAA Division III regions were represented on the list of this year's honorees. The selected student-athletes were nominated by their NFHCA member coach and were chosen based on career accomplishments.Â
A five-year member of Alvernia's field hockey team, Spezialetti has started in every Alvernia game since she joined the team as a first year in 2018. To date, she has recorded eight goals, and 10 assists.Â
Spezialetti was a 2022 Academic All-MAC selection, a 2022 All-Region selection, and the 2022 MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year. She also earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors in 2019 and is a four time NFHCA National Academic Squad selection.
Spezialetti, a native of Millersville, Pa., is pursuing her Masters in Occupational Therapy.
Alvernia continues its 2022 campaign on Saturday at Stevenson.Â
