Reading, Pa. (Sept. 27, 2022) - Alvernia University (0-2) dropped a 7-2 decision to Penn State Berks (2-0) on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at Alvernia.

Berks jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles play with Alvernia's only point coming off an 8-5 win at #1 doubles by Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis. 

Berks then nearly swept singles action, picking up five of the available six points. Shane Kern picked up a win in a three set thriller to prevent the sweep, but Alvernia fell to Berks 7-2.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Saturday at DeSales.
