Reading, Pa. (April 16, 2023) - Alvernia University (4-9, 1-3) dropped an 8-1 decision to York College (6-8, 3-2) in MAC Commonwealth Men's Tennis action on Sunday afternoon at the Governor Mifflin Courts in Shillington.

The Spartans jumped out to a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Alvernia nearly grabbed a point at #2 doubles from Thomas Figurelli and Kevin Angeles, but York was able to edge out an 8-7 win.

Alvernia then lost five of its six singles matches, with the only win coming off a default at #4 singles for Angeles.

Alvernia is back in action on Tuesday at Messiah.
