Reading, Pa. (April 19, 2023) - Alvernia University (5-10, 2-4) picked up a 6-3 win over Albright College (2-4, 7-8) on Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth men's tennis action at Albright.

The Golden Wolves picked up two wins at doubles and then grabbed four wins at singles play to pick up the conference win.

Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis picked up an 8-4 win at #1 doubles to start things off, and Thomas Figurelli and Kevin Angeles edged out an 8-7 (7-3) win at #2 doubles to give Alvernia the 2-1 advantage going into singles play.

Berger won his match in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0, at #1 singles, and Figurelli cruised to a 6-2, 6-0 win at #3 singles. Lewis and Derrick Boltz needed tiebreaker sets to get the job done as Lewis went 0-6, 6-4, 6-2 at #2 singles, and Boltz sealed the match win with a 4-6, 6-0, 10-7 at #6 singles.

Alvernia closes out its regular season on Saturday hosting Hood.
