Ten Student Athletes Earn Academic All-District Honors

Reading, Pa. (May 16, 2023) - Ten Alvernia student-athletes across baseball and softball earned CSC Academic All-District honors, as announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday.

The 2022 Academic All-District Baseball and Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators (formally known as CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. In order to qualify for nomination, the student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with a minimum cumulative GPA of a 3.50. Nominated student-athletes must have also participated in 50 percent of the team's competitions. For baseball and softball, pitchers must have pitched in at least ten innings.

Alvernia honorees for baseball are Thomas Faggioni, Josh Kreider, Mike Ramundo, Zach Rogacki, and Evan Thomas. Alvernia's honorees for softball are Jaclyn Barbera, Allison Kirschner, Emma Kropkowski, Maggie Loomis, and Brooke Weister.
