Reading, Pa (September 21, 2024) - Marywood University (5-2-1) scored a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 victory over Alvernia University (2-5) Saturday evening in non-conference women's soccer action at Alvernia. 

How it Happened 

• The Pacers took the lead in the first half after just under 30 minutes of action when Maura Fitzpatrick scored from outside the 18 to make it a 1-0 game. 
• Caroline Walters then made it 2-0 for the Pacers in the 59th minute after she scored a rocket from outside of the box to double the lead. 
• The Golden Wolves sent two shots at the Marywood net in the final 25 minutes but were not able to put one in the back of the net as the Pacers secured the 2-0 victory. 

Inside the Box Score 

• Tayler Flaherty, Abigail Sargent and Gianna Ordanoff all recorded shots on goal for the Golden Wolves. 
• Brynn Bock recorded 11 saves in net for the Golden Wolves.
