Reading, Pa (January 18, 2025) - Arcadia University (12-3-1, 10-2-0) tallied three goals in the second period as they took down Alvernia University (9-6-1, 5-6-1) 3-0, Saturday afternoon in MAC women's ice hockey action at BodyZone. 

How it Happened

• A scoreless first period was highlighted by the Knights outshooting the Golden Wolves 9-4 on goal but neither team could find the back of the net as the game headed to the first intermission still tied at zero. 
• Arcadia broke things open in the first five minutes of the second period when Berklee Hibbard gathered a loose puck just outside of the Alvernia zone, took it all the way to the other end and found the back of the net to make it 1-0 Arcadia. 
• The Knights made it 2-0 ten minutes later when Ariel Williamson and Haylee Kos assisted Karahkwenhawe White to extend the lead to two goals. 
• Arcadia tallied the third and final goal of the game in the final two minutes of the second period when Leah Hatcher assisted Phoebe Roberts to make it 3-0 Arcadia. 
• Arcadia fended off seven shots on goal by the Golden Wolves in the final period to secure the 3-0 victory. 

Inside the Box Score

• Addy Gularte recorded a team high five shots on goal and added ten faceoff wins. 
• Emma Hart and Sydney Bradley both recorded four shots on goal and Hart added five faceoff wins. 
• Juju Rodgers recorded 23 saves in net for the Golden Wolves.
